FRIDAY 11TH JANUARY (SAT. A.M. 12TH):

‘Dangerous’ Dannie Williams is now (22-3-0) while John Molina improves to (25-2-0).  Lightweights, 10 rounds.

-John Molina was able to execute an effective strategy against Dannie Williams.  After a generally close first three rounds, Molina flashed a jab in Williams face and then immediately landed a powerful right hand into Williams temple.  4th rd. K.O of Dannie Williams by John Molina

Brandon ‘Flawless’ Gonzales (17-0-0) vs. Don Mouton (12-5-1).  Super middleweights, 8 rounds.

- Brandon Gonzales steadily got the better of Don Mouton over 8 rounds.  Mouton’s lack of skill precluded him from seriously troubling the younger, more talented Gonzales.  Mouton did have success with the occasional power punch on the inside, but Gonzales’ combos, intermittent jabs, adequate defence and better boxing ability earned him the decision.  Judges scores were 78-75; 77-75, 77-75

Rico ‘Suavecito’ Ramos (21-2-0) vs. Ronny Rios (20-0-0).  Featherweights, 10 rounds.

- Unfortunately for Rico Ramos, he was not at his most ‘suavecito’ against Ronny Rios.  Rios took advantage of the lack of creativity shown by Ramos.  Rios used a workman like approach, punctuated by some thudding body punches.  Ramos can box, but on the night, Rios was the more successful of the two.  Scores were 96-94, 100-90 and 97-93.

Daquan Arnett (10-0-0) vs.  Brandon Quarles (9-1-1).  Light middleweights, 8 rounds.

- Daquan Arnett is still a promising youngster, but the test presented by Brandon Quarles certainly called into question how much he has left to work on.  Arnett displayed the faster hands and had the clear advantage in boxing ability.  Quarles was well aware of this and kept it on the inside (no matter how ugly it looked) and even hurt Arnett more than once.  Arnett played into Quarles hands and his trainers didn’t seem to adapt to this at all.  Nonetheless, Arnett was able to land enough combos, jabs, body punches to win with scores of 78-73, 77-74, 76-75.

SATURDAY 12TH JANUARY (SUN. A.M. THE 13TH)

Johan ‘el Terrible’ Perez improves to (16-1-1) as Steve ‘2Pound’ Forbes is now (35-12-0).  Welterweights, 10 rounds.

-Johan Perez was tested by veteran Steve Forbes, but was able to pass.  Scores were 95-95, 96-94 and 97-93.

Thomas Williams (12-0-0) vs. Jason Smith (8-2-0). Light heavyweights, 8 rounds.

-Thomas Williams brought some light heavyweight pain as he stopped Jason Smith in the third round.  Third round TKO for Thomas Wiliams.

Terrell Gausha (2-0-0) vs. Kenneth Schmitz (2-6-0).  Super middleweights, 4 rounds.

-Terrell Gausha stopped his apparently outmatched opponent, Kenneth Schmitz, in the first round.  First round KO for Terrell Gausha
